TiECON in December 2005.

I wanted to share the tremendous interest

we generated through this forum. We received expressions of interest from nearly 8 PE/VC entities. We have had active discussions with 4-5 of these over the last couple of months. As we go through this process, we may end up with one of these as our partner!

I also wanted to thank TiE personally for proactively informing us to get involved in these various forums. I highly appreciate your direct approach, it is always a pleasure to work with you. Please keep it up!

Thank you so much for your kind support and guidance. The session was really very helpful. Although it was not very relevant to our ERP business but since I already told you that we are working in IT training, recruitment solutions and also online self assessments where the same becomes a lot more relevant where there is a possibility of scaling up of the business.

I must thank you for all the effort and support extended by your kind self.

Thanks for arranging the group mentoring session

It gave us light on so many unknown areas which were otherwise not accessible to us.

The most important thing I got is that he idea of how the valuation is done.

Thanks again for arranging it for us.

The session with Mr. Alok Mittal was really very useful and informative. Since he has been a successful entrepreneur himself, he was able to identify with our problems and share his tremendous knowledge on various subjects. Overall, a great session.

All my questions were answered in the session. As of now, I have no further questions.

I first attended a TIE seminar with a narrow objective of meeting suitable VCs/ Private-Investor(s) for our company.  While we have not yet found suitable investors through the TIE channel, we have meanwhile made progress and may not even require infusion of such funding after some more time.  Nevertheless, I personally find many TIE seminars useful, and different from run-of-the-mill seminars.

TIE is performing a useful role in building an ecosystem in this country for promoting and nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship.

With best wishes,

TIE has been (and will continue to be) a very help companion in my entrepreneurial journey. It has helped me become part of the ecosystem of investors, mentors, fellow entrepreneurs, and business partners.

It was at the TIECON 2005, where for the first time I interacted with the investor community and presented madhouse media as an exciting venture and some of these interactions which eventually lead to madhouse getting funded.

Digbijoy and the TiE-Network has been of great value to my business. While I could list a lot of benefits, the prominent ones would include
  1. Mentoring: I was of the opinion that being from the RPO space there wouldn’t be too many people who would understand my business and it’s dynamics, however 2 of the 3 mentoring sessions were taken by people who actually had prior experience in my space. Frankly I was very impressed with the depth of their network and the meetings helped me in realigning and fixing a lot of things.
  1. Peer to Peer Learning through Networking: The social event puts you in touch with other entrepreneurs who might be going through a similar stage or have gone through it sometime before you. At a point of time when I was looking at breaking  my business into processes and aligning them into buckets of criticality, a peer from the IT space was able to give enormous inputs on how to do it.
  1. Business: A goods source of business leads courtesy the large global network, the Tie office has provided a few leads in the past year which have translated into real-time business for us.

TIE provides an immense network of entrepreneurs to share, discuss and resolve concerns – this network helps identify and support new opportunities as well. Participating in the TIE-Canaan competition was a very rewarding experience which brought significant new insights and built new contacts. Most importantly the team at TIE is very friendly and ready to help.”

13.As a first-time entrepreneur, I naturally faced challenges. Handling them has been smooth due to the ecosystem provided by TiE. Its programs like the ENP ("Entrepreneurship Nurturing Program") and TiECon have provided tremendous, much-needed practical guidance and opportunities to connect with investors and mentors.  Thank you!! --->
